Yorkville NX750p

Cool beans so you are used to the Reggae and Soca beat! That is why I have the kind of gear that I do. It takes plenty to carry that kind of sound. I have done a few Gigs in Brooklyn back in the late 70s.
I end up getting two Yorkville NX750p's....I'm loving them! Did a BBQ this weekend...didnt even need a bottom!
I know you'll like them. The 40 and 90 buttons on the back (with sub or without sub) will come in handy.
FYI, I did have the small Elite LS700BP (double 10") subwoofer, but wanted more low end that the LS801PB 18" put out. Besides, the LS700 doesn't have a removable power cord which was a pain in the A** to pack-up at the end of the night.
Also, you may want to get a pair of padded covers for your NX 750P. There's a place in North Charleston, SC that makes custom covers. TUKE Covers, I think is the name. You'll appreciate the way they keep the cabinets from scratches.

I've got two, but rarely ever use both at the same time. They are heavy, but easy to transport due to the kick-back wheels and built-in handle on top. Stairs? Forget it. At least not without help.
Wes is correct! It is heavy, but handles like a 2-wheeler and can turn on a dime and with using only two fingers. It weighs in at 137 lbs. but the low end is incredible. You can't stand directly behind it as the sound waves pound just a hard as the front! I only have 1 LS801P, but would like to have a second, but only because I would want to mount pole-mount my Yorkville NX 750's and spread them 20+ feet apart. I know it's an expensive piece of equipment. You need to project what will serve you the most--low end or convenience of movement (i.e. ability to lift if going up stairs).

Where did you buy your speakers and how do you like them? You should be able to get covers from the dealer you bought the speakers from.
For covers for basic speakers, I use "connietom" on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/connietom11...h=item2ec9dd6884&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2562 The covers are made of moving blanket material and fit well. I have bought several pair from her.
DJSoulRebel...DJJohnThe1 is spot on that they are excellent protection and have straps on the bottom. The Subwoofer cover also has a strap at the bottom, openings for two side handles and top-rear handle. If you PM me I can give you the price I paid a few years ago for the York tops and sub. You can compare other pricing.
The best covers I've seen are those made for the RCF tops and subs; canvas outside and padded (thick) velour inside, but not straps on those. They fit so snug that I never had a problem with them.
