I assumed that most people would figure out that a 49-year old white guy
who has worked at rock radio all his life...

I'm not a racist Danno -- but you have to remember that the people who stuck my head in the toilet bowl when I was in school, stole my lunch money, were not white.
I have nothing against black folks, as long as they are civilized, and conform to society.
C'mon down and live in downtown Newburgh -- if you survive long enough, you'll learn the status quo. White people are the minority here, and the racists are the black folks -- they hate us, even though my family never owned a slave.

Danno, a couple weeks ago, I had to put a 7.62 x 39 AK round between some guys feet, who was trying to break into my house.

But given the sitrep I happen to be in right now, I'm not going to make any illusions as to how I feel. This is rough territory here, so I'm not going to hold back. The gunshots I hear every night, do not amuse me much.

Perhaps in your nice cul de sac, things are wonderful. They are not so wonderful where I am. I have bars on the windows, digital locks on all doors inside and out, cameras, alarm systems, and a dog. Do you carry an AK or a handgun when you mow the grass? Well, I have to.
It's gotten pretty rough up here -- it's Saturday, what are the odds I will hear more than 6 gunshots tonight. There are about 5-6 gangs in this town, Haitian, Jamaicans mostly, and some Latinos.

Sorry .. racism, sexism, etc. have no place here period. It's not being "PC", it's being on the side of right. If you have issues with thugs in your backyard, call them thugs .. don't bring in an entire population because of myopia because we don't buy it (at least I don't).
We've lost input from a number of the female DJs here because of things that were said and it's a shame we have to resort to baiting other groups as well.

BTW, I have a number of black friends -- the civilized kind. They don't try to break into your house. We don't have many of those around here. These are gang bangers, simple as that.
