$1200 is the link you provided. I just wanted to hear you say it. Do you feel this is equipment, that the mobile DJs here will see as value?
I do. I have used many of the " DJ " level hazers ( $300-400 ) dollar range and below and honestly it is worth the investment to buy a quality hazer once then deal with the issues of the cheaper units. Every DJ has different needs and some DO use this level of equipment. Thanks for sharing Houston.
Did you read the specs on it? You can clean it out in about 15 minutes and its ready to go. This is why I mentioned tour grade and not the regular DJ equipment . You said in another tread that you want to up your level, what do you expect to use then, regular DJ equipment?

We know Mike, we know. However, not all places have those problems like you do. You need to come to Texas.
If you only need a unit like this a few times a year it would not seem be feasible to purchase. Unless of course you lease it back out.
We use ours mostly at all of the college events we do ( at least 2 a month ) , and then High School Proms, High School Homecomings ( Depending on location because some schools don't allow the hazers ) , and then Sweet 16's and any events that book our club level packages. Then we also use this at the concerts we run for bands that are indoors, a light haze hovering on the stage makes the lighting and effects on stage look amazing, just set the hazer to 20-30 percent and let it work its magic.
Each additional tool, piece of gear should be priced accordingly so that you can recoup your investment within a year. The point being that you will have a real professional result EACH TIME it is deployed.
Hence the words "IF you work in venues".

I know this is an old thread, but what's the verdict on hazer vs. fog -- is there actually any difference, when it comes to smoke/particle detectors? I've got an entry-level Antari Fazer, but I'm in the same boat a lot of you are in: It rarely ever gets used.
There's no questioning a [very] slight haze makes the light effect 500% better, but.....

There's not a whole lot of difference visually (fog tends to sit lower) .. the issue is most places just won't allow it because they just don't know how it will work with their smoke detectors. We have places here that if you want to use one, you basically have to rent the fire marshall and an off duty fireman to stand guard, since the place will normally shut off their system ... way too expensive for anything I would do.
Same here, most all venues here will not allow any fog/haze because of the fire system. I wish I could use one from time to time.
