Grand Openings. This time a brand new Krispy Kreme and its on a Monday<bonus>.

Business grand opening are a great opportunity to pick up some extra work often during the middle of the week. I've booked 4 of these type events so far this year and havent even marketed this service. Sometimes the job is just PA for a presentation/background music, other times its DJ and even karaoke.

When corporations enter a new market they want to make a big splash. Their are willing to toss all kinds of money around on promotion. Right now, I'm in the process of producing some promotional material maketing this service to new brick & mortar type stores new to my area. I plan to make this a larger part of my business in the future.

Join your Chamber Of Commerce, they will put you in touch with those types of businesses. They also do Breakfasts, Luncheons and Expos (I rent out my Bose AWM and it's Mic to many of these kind of events.

Camping out for grand openings seems to be a new trend. KK took really good care of the people waiting in line providing them with restrooms, drinks, pizza, a photo booth and even a DJ....ehhh me. My next grand opening is a paint store, I don't think they'll be camping out there but ya never know.

Don't limit your pitch material to just Grand Openings.
Spring is full of Sidewalk Sales, Open Houses, Re-Modeling Sales, Construction Reductions, and other promotions.
