I've been looking to get a summary or list of all the music I purchased last year from Amazon (CD's) and I Tunes (singles) but can't find a way.

Does anyone know if this is even available? My folder of 2012 music receipts was tossed away in error.

Call Amazon. They have a phone number the last time I checked! ;)

On Amazon

Click on the "Your Account" at the top-right. Look over to the left and you'll see "Your Digital Orders, click it. Then change the "Orders Placed in" dropdown (right-side) to "2012" and click "Go". At the top-left of the list is a count of the number of digital orders you placed. Last year, I just used an average of .99 X number of orders. Put it on your tax form and you're done.

Thanks Rick for giving a useful answer to the question. Wish We had more of this on the chat board?!?

Definite downside to Amazon... I did wish they were 320 CBR's all the time.
With proper Processing its almost difficult to determine the difference in output.

agreed, but it is a mental thing.. I know... LOL but you are right in most cases the average person (myself included) can probably not tell the difference during an event.

No audible differences .. But there are times when VBR files act funny with software as Jim pointed out above.

I have never had problems using any types of files with Traktor. From day one I have also appreciated its Auto Gain Level Control feature.

iTunes has a 'Purchased' section under the 'Store'

Yup...that's where I went...made an Excel spreadsheet of the dates and amounts...wow over $500.00 this year just on I Tunes...yes I use Prime Cuts but being a music junkie (and hearing about different artists here) has me wanting more.

VBRs are a PITA. There are no headers, and each block can change. So, if you try try to seek into them, you might end up 5 seconds off.

Hence, why I buy the CDs and rip them myself into 320 bps CBR.

For home use, the Amazon stuff is fine, for DJ work, you should probably premix the songs into one MP3 file.

What do you call that person, a Push Play DJ! :laughing6: or a Human JukeBox? :icon_puke_l:

You can call me what you want -- but I still have to mix the songs. It's sorta like asking why artists lip sync at the Superbowl -- they prerecord things, because you don't want to f_ck up in front of a crowd.

So, since I've taken the time to build these 4-5 song mixes over the years -- I guess you could call me a push-play DJ.

I'm not Superman, like people from Texass, and I don't prefer to look like an ass like them with my Mad DJ Skillzs. :)

Confidence and practice my friend. However I would rather make a mistake in a mix than be caught playing pre recorded mixes for live sessions. I will play a medley but usually that is if I want to run to the bathroom of if I am doing a special thing on the floor.

I don't just stand behind a rack.

If that's what you like, that's fine.

BTW, what are these "special things on the floor"? Is that like when I don't take my dog out for 14 hours?
