SlimPar 56 Not Responding to DMX

I have 1 of 16 SlimPar 56s (#7 in the chain) that isn't responding to DMX. It started while testing some programming in Freestyler for an upcoming gig.
I last used the lights together in December via DMX without issue.


The following was done to troubleshoot:

• Ensured channel was consistent with the rest (3)
• Verfied all were set to the same personality (d 1)
• Re-test, no change
• Changed channel to (7)
• Changed DMX and Power cable
• Re-test, no change
• Connected the problem par to an Obey 3 and ran the above again using channels 3 and 7
• Tested...no change

I'm still learning DMX but think this is an internal issue. Any other ideas before I give Chauvet a call?

Is it working in Sound Active/Auto Mode? Tested it in DMX by itself as if it was the only light being used. Have you used a Terminator on its end if it was the last one (Shouldn't make much of a difference)

Its does work in sound active.
Used a terminator. No change
Tested it on its on as well with the Obey 3. No change.

Well .. that's more than I would have checked, so it sounds like you got a sick puppy there. Most likely a bad logic board.

Thats what I figured. But wanted to be sure I didnt miss anything.

If it is under Warranty, send it back. If it is not, then open it carefully and determine if there are any loose connections or unsoldered spots.
