The new Ymaha powered 15" speakers I heard in GC rock!

I got a pair of Yamaha DSR 15" tops that rock and then I got to hear the newer DXR 15" tops at G. C. They really rock! Too bad I didn't think of taking a picture of that speaker on my IPhone when I was in there. They even sound better then the ones I bought. I wish I had the money to trade in or sell the ones I got to get those. The nice thing is they have a fan in the back to keep the amp cool. So now worrying about the amp clipping out to protect it. The sound was truly amazing! I had the salesman let me listen to the New Cerwin Vega top that just came out and it sounded like crap. Especially compared to the Yamaha and they cost the same. I really would love a pair of those for sure. Maybe I can figure out a way after the store closes and everyone is gone to break in and steal them! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great job Yamaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry I did forget to mention CV got taken over by Gibson so the same quality isn't there any more. Just not the same as the old stuff. Hope they get better in the future.

Has anybody heard them yet and what are your thoughts?

The DXR is supposed to be a step below the DSR. The DSR have wood cabinets, the DXR has plastic. Similar to the QSC KW line vs the K series. I would hope yours would still sound good against the newer units.

... but please don't steal them .. you're closing in on the 3 strike count.

And if you plan on trading yours in you may want to work on getting that cigar smell out of them first.
