Jeff, He condescending toward just about everybody on this forum. I feel sorry for him if he's like this in the real world.

It's been a long time problem with him too he can't possibly be like that in real life he runs a successful business and with his forum hero attitude that would never happen in the real world

The bottom line is no one will ever be called on it so it doesn't make a difference. Just because you have an opinion and publically post it doesn't make it correct

You are ignorant Jeff because, you don't know what commercial use actually is; and don't understand why that disclaimer is on the CD in the first place.

What's more ignorant Jeff is that you think this is just "my opinion" when in fact it's now 100 years of well documented U.S. Copyright Acts, U.S. Copyright Case Law, consistent Congressional opinion, and supporting Federal & Supreme court rulings which you have never bothered to read, study, or review.

Like most DJs you're full of noise and pop culture opinion on legal concepts you have never bothered to research or learn about, and simply point fingers hoping someone will validate your personal rationale. You say: "bottom line is no one will ever get called on it..." which is a distorted view of reality. The reason "no one gets called on it" is that you don't have a f----g clue what that disclaimer actually means and you're waiting for enforcement of a concept that doesn't exist outside of your own mind.

In the real world I get to deal with people who are actually educated about the laws and licensing requirements that apply to their career... oops! that's right I forgot it's not a career for most is it? Well, there it is then - that all elusive definition of professional ... which is to be adequately educated about your liabilities.

To ignore information and avoid that education in favor of a need to place one's self in the center of an artificial drama is patently unprofessional.

If Jeff (or any DJ) is so convinced he's breaking the law then why does he persist?
Why bother with a Congressional Act if Copyrights can be universally summed up with 4 words on the label?
Why does the music industry so often provide copies with that same disclaimer to commercial users?
Why is Jeff's interpretation of "commercial use" different from that which exists in the law?

I really have no sympathy for anyone who thinks it condescending when you get called for spouting misinformation about topics you haven't even done the most basic research on - especially while you continue to practice the very behavior you proclaim to be doing illegally.

If all of us aint doin' it right...
then why haven't they shut down the entire Mobile DJ industry?
Seems like an easy way to button up all the loopholes.
