I know sometimes we never show ourselves online very much. Here is a picture of the wife and myself at our last wedding a few weeks ago. Also included is another picture that the bride also allowed us to put on our site. I added the photo of the wife and myself to our contact page on our website. Professionally done is a good thing. :)

You just gave me a great ideal. Either add it to our contract or with something else. Ask the client is it OK for me to use a picture or pictures to add to our website. Sounds very silly I know and unprofessional but I never thought of that. I just figured a client who said it was OK for us to take pictures at their event wouldn't mind us posting pictures on our website. Better safe then taking a chance on being sued.

The white edge makes a funky vertical line in front of you.
 
I was holding a clipboard and the photographer just walked up and said can I get you both to stand together. I had just finished looking at our flow of events when she came up. I didn't even think about it. I'm a pretty focused guy at our events. ) I saw the pic on our contact page and it looks good. If I cut the picture down to remove the clip board I think it might scare our brides. )

I would say this is really important when they are professionally done. The couple usually has paid good money for them. She posted them on facebook but still those are "her" photo's so asking is important. I saw a photographer a couple of years ago get his ass handed to him about a week after the wedding we did. He started posting pictures to facebook without asking the bride and she freaked out.

The photo needs some overall lightening and you can have someone re-color the white book edge to a grey. Otherwise it would be a great promo pic.

Ok you guys with great photoshop skills get to work. ) I fixed the lighting but I'm not to good with changing colors on something.

I'd go with bumping up the exposure a bit and some "fill" light so the pic doesn't get too washed out. Maybe an Edge Effect to make it pop a bit.
