Peavey SP4 vs Nexo PS15

Hi ya guys, i've got a question, i'm using two JBL SRX728 subs powered by bridged QSC RMX2450 amps and two Peavey SP4 cabs powered by two RMX1450 amps, now, i'm wondering, I can get a pair of Nexo PS15 cabs in excellent condition for a good price, would two Nexo PS15 cabs be louder than the two Peavey SP4 cabs? If I went for PS15 cabs i'd be powering them with a bridged RMX2450 so each PS15 gets about 1,200 watts average power. The reason for the change over is beasically, I want louder mid/high cabs and also if possible, smaller ones. I know some people might say JBL SRX715 cabs but Nexo would be a step up in quality over the SRX cabs I should think.

What do you think, if run maximum, would the PS15 cabs be louder than the SP4 cabs?
 
Here are the specs for both (SPL)

Low frequency section:
131 dB SPL continuous
137 dB SPL peak
Passive mid/high frequency
section:
129 dB SPL continuous
135 dB SPL peak

Nexo
Sensitivity 1W @ 1m 102 dB SPL Nominal / 99 dB SPL Wideband.
Nominal Peak SPL @ 1m 133 to 136 dB Peak.

So perceived loudness is about the same.

The Nexo is smaller so it's easier to transport. If you can listen to them do that and see if it is worth the purchase.

Yeah it does, and if I went for the Nexo i'd get the processor. Also, specs, well I don't pay much attention to specs because specs are inaccurate to real world performance and cane be way off if you measure the cab's REAL spl output. Also specs don't take into account power compression either and different drivers in cabs suffer from different amounts of power compression. Forgetting specs a minute, have you heard both those cabs? If so, which would YOU say was the loudest.
 
Should we get a definition of 'loud'? There is no one size fits all. Peavey may sound better / louder in 'x' room and Nexo may sound better / louder in 'y' room. Also, are we talking long throw / short throw / dispersion or does that even matter?

I'm not biased ... but I am a Peavey Black Widow fan. Them speakers ROCK!!

My First Question is, how or what are you using to cross over/Splitting the Full Range Signal. DriverRack, DSP on the Amps, other device?

Yeah my definition of loud is about 130db, Dispersion doesn't really matter, long throw not so much of an issue either, you might be a Peavey fan, and yeah I like Peavey, but an oldskool raver, so i'm used to EAW KF850, KF650, Turbosound Floodlights etc...to me personally, THEY rock, Peavey are good but in my opinion the SP4 cabs aren't very loud.

If you truly want Hi Power with lots of Clarity, may I suggest you go with a 3 Way / Tri Amped System. That way you can choose Custom Mids and Highs in a single cabinet or separate boxes for Mids and Highs. Seems to me you will get more High Power Clarity that way instead of using Full Range Boxes for Mids and Highs. Just a thought.

Half the point in me thinking about PS15 cabs is because they're smaller than the humungous SP4 cabs, and I should biamping the SP4's would at best provide me with maybe about 1db extra spl which is next to nothing.
