Amazon MP3 and Denon Music Manager (DMM) not playing well together

Okay let me see if I can explain this problem.

First, I use a Denon HD-2500 Media player. I really like the unit and have had no real problems using it. But ever since Amazon introduced their Cloud service, I've started having some problems. I'm not sure if that is a coincidence or not.

So when I prep for a gig, I make a playlist inside iTunes. I then export the playlist to a .m3u file.
I then copy the actual music files to a thumb drive and have DMM create a new DB list of the music files on that drive. No problem there. All songs are accounted for. But, when I import the playlist, it lists every song except those that were purchased from Amazon MP3. What gives? Anyone?
 
I can't understand why you guys mess with iTunes. Thats for those Ipod playing consumers. If you use a DJ Software Program why not add your songs to the Library on your Hard Drive/External Drive as mp3s and then build the playlist directly from the DJ Program.

Can the Playlist be created in your Media Player? I make playlists in my Pioneer MEP which is almost a mirror image of what I have on my computer. By and large my Playlists consists of go to songs for a particular event. Only during dinner/cocktail hour will I let a playlist Autoplay.

Just curious, try building a playlist with those missing cuts in winamp. Export the playlist and see if it works. Sounds like itunes isn't building a compatible playlist file.

One issue with iTunes export is the path names of the files aren't relative, they're absolute. There is a tool I have used (and I don't have my laptop with me) that exports, extracts the tunes and makes everything relative to the local directory extracted to.
 
I think the Amazon mp3s are VBR and your others are probably CBR. Some devices don't like variable bit rate.

No. I've got two external HDs that stay mounted in my rack. The music on them has already been indexed by DMM. I pull them out about every six weeks to update. I bring my loose MP3 PrimeCuts discs with me until I get them uploaded to the externals.

What about the Amazon MP3s I've purchased in the past that have given me no problems? Did Amazon recently switch from CBR to VBR?
