For those that do custom steel gobo's, what do you do with them? Do you give them to bride and groom or save em? Is there a site to resell them? Im sure there are more than one couple with the same names getting married lol.

The multi-op I work with just gives them to the Bride and Groom.
They paid for them, and it's of no use to anyone else.

Worse case...put them in the recycling bin.

Why not throw them in a frame on a light background and give them to the couple as a gift? What could it cost you, $20?

Dan, you just hit on something cool, even tho I don't do weddings anymore..... But when I did, I was buying these small banners from an online place. An d what I did was have guests sign these banners..... So, using your idea, keep the middle area free from signings, attach the gobo, and then give to the B & G as your present to them. I was buying the banners for less than $10.

That's what we do with ours Dan. We put the Bride & Grooms name, date etc underneath the gobo in a frame. We also try and get a pic of the gobo in action from the wedding to put in the frame as well. They love it!

Because it's about as sentimental as putting the extension cord in a frame.

If they hang it up as a conversation piece the bride and groom will spend the rest of their lives trying to explain to people WTF it is - and why they would care to display it. :)
