$600 for a pair of Martin Acrobats?

prefer to seperate them as one can cover off most rooms but if your doing a big school or large light show run two seperated. Steve does his exactly as I do for 90% of my gigs. No need to run them on your speaker poles unless you want to. I typically have my second bat as backup and alternate them to balance bulb use. I have had mine for 7 yrs plus and have two backup bulbs that I havent used yet, knock wood.

First, I did not mean for him to put both on the same pole. What I meant is that there is room for a couple more lights on the bottom. The spread is incredible with the Bose high as it it. You also have to remember that the front of the Bose is curved not flat as conventional speakers and therefore the two rows of four drivers each all point in a different direction. It gives for wider dispersion. I can stand right beneath them with a mic without worrying about feedback. The Mids and Highs can easily be heard at the back of a room. Yes I did use subs with those at that particular event.
I thought you chaps were so worried about taking up less space/footprint that is why I suggested putting lights on a Lighting Stand with speaker on top. This eliminates the need for additional tripods. But whatever.

but its side to side dispersion and the higher up the less potential for bass coverage is why I asked. I figured you would run a sub with them that high in the air. Thanks for clarifying and you could respond to my gig log if you would like and I promise to post pictures tonight. Im writing two contracts and continuing the bridal show calls until later and will share pics then.
Jon I am running a true 2 Way Electronic Crossover System with the Bose Controller. Only Mids and Highs go to the Bose, nothing else. I do not use Bass in any of my tops (Exception this past Saturday when I am running full range with no subs). This is why I get the natural clarity I do and it projects.
In my 3 way System I don't use the Bose unless I want it to replace the Midrange Horn or the Tweeters.
Lots of people use their tops in full range with subs for added bass, I don't.
wait didnt you say you ran the Bose alone for your pool party sand clothing and sans SUB????? Make up your mind lol. Ah ok I caught your comment never mind lol. I just liked saying sans clothing and sans subs.
I don't mount two on one vertical pole but you could. I would try mounting the higher one upside down so they are barrel to barrel. I also mount them to my sub to speaker poles and they look incredible!

I aim mine up but the coverage of the bat is so good it allows some to hit the floor and above as well as all corners. I totally agree with you Wes the Revo gets lost if pointed to the floor its made to help enhance the ceiling in most cases. It is what it does best. If you point it down thats what the Brides complain about all those dots on her dress and in photos etc.
Acrobats cover VERY WELL even when mounted to a sub pole like in the photo I posted. There is no other fixture like it on the market at the moment.
Lil update boys.....I'm working a corp job tonight. Haven't started the dance segment but am digging the way this light setup looks. Colorstrip on top, 2 Chauvet scan led 300s with 1 acrobat center-mounted (as suggested here). This is an absolutely killer setup. Had another DJ come by and his first comment was "Wow, that's a lotta light."
