I have done a ton of bubble parties for day care centers, and while I have had many call me back for more events, I never once had a thank you letter for doing the party - until this morning. And what a cool thank you letter it was!

I got one from the center that was written by the assistant director, and that was very nice, but what was REALLY COOL was getting 31 more thank you letters all at the same time!

The school had each of the kids draw a picture of the fun they had at the party, and then sign it, along with the words "thank you".

For those kids who were too small to sign, it looks like the teachers did the signing for them.

So, I don't quite know how I am going to do this, but I plan to get all 32 mounted. I can't do it like a regular picture because it would be HUGE! So, somehow I will have to find a way to mount them so that people can look at them.

I have to say, that in all my years of DJing, this "thank you" means the most!

Scan them all on to your computer and make a slide show for your site.

Then, for live in person looking ability, have them mounted on some sort of frame when they over lap just a bit so they can flip through them. Maybe 5 rows or so. Shouldn't take up anymore room than a poster on the wall.

Scan and shrink! Would be perfect for a 2 sided flyer!

Papa, since I'm in the market for a job, this might be a nice way to make some money during the week. Is the program still for sale? Was it Allo? I think he passed away. PM me...Maybe I should get a chat on the phone with you about it sometime brother...

Its nice to get thanks!

Rob Peters has done a HORRIBLE job. And yes, I told him that personally. So it isn't like I am saying something behind his back. I had REALLY high hopes when he took over. Even his bubble forum has essentially "died".

I had no idea. I just remember that he took it over and I did a quick google search for it when JT posted.

I had talked to Jon about it before he even started selling the how to kits. Wasn't my cup of tea.

I'm not surprised. $650 is a lot for a program that would be 2nd nature to people who might already have a lot of good experience with kids - from camp counseling, schools, coaching, etc.

At $49.95 I bet he'd have a higher volume of sales and make far more money since it would start selling to all kinds of people who aren't even DJs - just folks with little imagination and a need to throw a birthday party for their own kid, or pick up some new ideas for their own kid programs. A lot of people would think nothing of tossing $49 toward an information packet - but, at $650 he's waiting for the profile for a customer I just don't see as likely to bite for this.

Just a note... this is a 2 year old thread..... and I actually do like Rob Peters. I just didn't think he came through for us. He seemed like a heckuva nice guy when I met him in Vegas.

So pap, why don't YOU put out info on these parties? I have to admit, I'm extremely interested as it looks like my wife may quit her teaching job and this could be perfect for her.

In a way, I have.... I wrote the chapter in Tyrone's book on bubble parties.

And honestly, basically, these things are dirt simple.... no need to get all complicated. You just need to be able to communicate with kids and not get frustrated if they don't know what you think that they will know musically.

If you don't mind sharing, how many and what kind of games do you play in a typical hour-long presentation?

Go read read the Bubble Party stickied thread...... pretty much anything you would want answered is in it.
