All this info is good.... but I'd love to see a pic, not of the gobo, but of the projector and where/how it's mounted. Not so much how... but where are you putting it to make it non obtrusive? I notice no one ever shows where the projector or ETC unit, or whatever, is located at...

Use Pavement Chalk and draw the Gobo on the floor! :)

They cover them with Scrims, that is why you don't see them! :D

I know how they do it, and I know most use scrims... but, if they are straight on... to me there seems to still be a "pole", tripod, etc... sitting right in the middle of the dinner tables, or dance floor. Unless you have columns to hide a scrimmed tripod against. Or are most able to hang them from a ceiling? Just saying, that is the biggest hurdle to get over. How does a paying client enjoy having something in the middle of the dinner tables ! Let's see some pics of how you are setting these various projectors up.... not just the results of what they do.

Inverted images or custom angles via PS ... most of the time, my PJ is securely behind me or a speaker stack. If not, it's certainly not in the middle of the dance floor or dinner tables.

here's a pic of a monogram we did a few weeks ago.
it's a gobo, not a projector, though...
so we had some issues with not being able to adjust keystone.
so we let it rotate on the dance floor until dancing started
and then projected it on the wall
