New Chauvet Video of the Intimidator Spot LED 250

Nice, the fixtures do look great! I would hope these are a step up from the Qspot 260 considering these are in the Intimidator line and i know we have 4 of the intimidator spot 250's and they blow the 260's away which is why we went with the bulbs opposed to the LED's. I'm extremely happy with them so i would definitely be willing to give the LED versions a shot! Thanks for sharing :)

The intimidator spots are sweet! I had plat spot 5rs and other elation fixtures. I went LED to save weight, size and power. I am going to play with the 350s next time I'm at the shop that has them in their show room. I may have to get them. I handled them already but have not seen them in action. The one thing that stinks is it only has 1 gobo wheel. Not that big of a deal but I like options and the effect 2 wheels can give.

The Intimidator range is the entry level for Chauvet, but it has grown and become a very high quality fixture, especially with the new 150, 250 and 350s...very good lights.

The Q Range is the next step up developed for the installation and regional touring and mobile applications, and the Legend series is for higher end installation and full production rigs.

I always take notes, and watch the responses all the pros form this site suggest! Thanks for your input, and continued enthusiasm!

Jamey.

Q-spot 260 leds or the new intimidator 350 leds? What is your choice? Saying that the q series is a step up, are the 350s a step up from them in this instance?

260s - 2 gobo wheels
350s - 1 gobo wheel

260s - prism, rotate etc
350s - prism, rotate etc =====mechanical but not remote, ZOOM though :)

260s - 60 watt no power linking but lockable power cable
350s - 75 watt power linking but no lockable power cable

260s - I have to reset mine prior to every show to get the gobo wheels to align. Not a big deal I use showxpress
350s - ???

Any thoughts? I am going to go test drive the 350s and see the comparison.

The original Intimidator spots with the bulbs are a step up from the Qspot 260 in terms of brightness but the downside is they are not LED. The only way i could step into the Q Series for the level of events we do would be to go with the Q560. That looks like it could compete better with actual MSD fixtures.
Y'all confusing the Wedding DJs and making them jealous at the same time!:triconfused:

View attachment 25938 I had qpsot 560's for a week. I wound up returning them and getting q wash 260s. I sold my bigger lights for a reason and then I bought the 560s and they quickly reminded me why I sold my larger lighting. Weight and size. They were awesome I must say. Here is a pic of them on the floor, their freakin bright!

just once
I'd like to see a light fixture video
with only ONE friggin' light in it!
you can never get a real sense of what the thing is capable of
(and yeah, I understand the sales logic of doing it)

23ft across 8ft up, hanging are 3 qspot 260 leds, uplighting in the pedestals and across the inner truss slim par pro's, facade is from pordadecor.com

@Ausumm - Let me know if you want me to give a youtube walk through of any of the fixtures I have. I have no problem doing that. I know how it feels to want info on gear and peoples reviews are just not exactly what I was looking for. Really let me know and I'll dig em out and do it for you.

Would you say those 560's fit neatly between MSD 250 and 575?

Man I would love to see some....or better yet have Chauvet do a triple 75...I feel it coming down the road!
