Nice day down here in Southern California, Sky was a little overcast as this Wedding Ceremony stated.
I have provided the Minister with a clip on Mic as required per brides request and set a wireless hand held on a stand off to the side about 5 feet away from the minister as a back up. The hand held is not a requirement from the bride but something I do as standard operating procedures.
B/G are half way thru the ceremony facing each other holding each others hand as the Minister is reading from his book the part about the ring being a circle when he starts to stumble on his words as if he has lost his place reading his book or had a brain freeze. This goes on for a full minute before some of the gentlemen in the front row come to his aid as he is getting ready to faint. It's kind of fuzzy now in recollection but I don't think the B/G ever let go of their hands or moved.....LOL
Several members escort the minister to a shady location away from the ceremony location, There goes my clip on mic. Another pastor in the audience steps up to continue the service, Remember the second mic that wasn't a requirment that is sitting off to the side. I walk up and stop the minister place the handheld on the mic stand in front of him and off we go with me worrying how am I going to get my clip on mic back if the E.M.T. arrive and cart the fainting minister away before the ceremony ends.
This scenario is offered so that other DJs can decide if they want to be prepared or just do what the Bride says to do.
