Howdy folks,

I've been working on building out ODJT.com! I'd like to get some content up for when it officially launches on April 1st. Gear views, tutorials, business practices, is just part of what's going to be included. Over the next few weeks I'll be going through the forums and PMing anyone who's posts I'd like feature there. You will receive full attribution (name, location, business name, link, etc).

We've hired a copy editor mostly to clean up my writings. All articles will run through the copy editor before being posted other than that your articles will run as is.

Thanks,
Dan

Some of that material would have to be across the board Industry Standard not just what one person likes to do. DJ Tips will be more individualized. Articles like "How to properly roll your cables" can be Stickys or Industry Standard.

Agreed. I'm mostly talking about best practices. Say the whole deposit vs. retainer debate, etc.

Stuff like how to properly store your cables would fit in the tutorials section.

"How Not To Wear Your Speakers Like Headphones." would make a great Tutorial! :yowigglyeyes2::yowigglyeyes2::yowigglyeyes2:

A couple live sound forums I belong to do "shootouts" occasionally .. We could do the same, either live or virtual, on equipment or use models.

actually had an aricle published in Mobile Beat many years ago
and considering I write stuff for a living...
I'd be happy to offer a contribution or two

It was a dark, stormy night...

As Ranger Rick approached the speakers, he looked quickly to the left, and noticed a speaker cable flapping in the breeze!

This could have been both an embarrassment to the DJ, as well as a safety hazard. He reached out using his long, well defined arm, and latched the cable securely in place, using a cable tie. Single handedly, he was able to secure this potential loose cannon into place, and save the day, and perhaps thousands of lives!

Ranger Rick refused the Nobel Peace Prize, because he felt he was just doing his job...

Best I could come up with on a Friday afternoon... :D

haha A DJ comedy section is definitely a possibility. Just thinking about how to best implement it.

Make me and Ruben the mods -- we'll have a blast... :)

Oh wait, that commie is usually not around, since he became a big star -- Ranger Rick to the Rescue... :D

Dan .. looks tight !

We'll make it happen, i'll try to get some recorded for you next weekend and you can check them out. Would you like us to say in the videos that the reviews are for Ourdjtalk.com to make it even more official? :)

That's more than I could ask for but if you'd like to that would be super awesome! :)
