I have always liked this light and last weekend I saw it online at a Chauvet Dealer for $50.00 less than the going price, brand new with full warranty. Best of all shipping was free (I liked that for sure) so I pulled the trigger on Friday and today it was delivered. I love it!
Chauvet Vue 3.1 Price was $129.00

I had contacted Ben about this light but he does not carry it so I got it from another dealer.

Love my Revo III.... when there isn't something broken, but there almost always is something broken... bad welds, glass falls out......

How do you pack it for transport? Mine is packed in its original foam protectors and then in a carrying case with other lights. There is no room for shifting or vibration.

Wow I haven`t had a lick of trouble with mine very sturdy. I pack it in the original box but I no longer use the foam it cracked about 6 months ago. I`ve been meaning to order a bag for it but the only time I think of it is when I`m moving it
 
I got the Revo 2 and even that one is a darn nice light.
my problem is the things are too darn BIG.
I mount my lights on one unit, and there is no room for it...
so I pack it separately and mount it on the rig at the site.

still cannot believe this is coming from a guy who resisted LIGHTING for so long.
darn proud of you, my friend.

Go to your local department store and buy one of those soft padded coolers. They don't add much space to the storage area. I will be replacing my foam with those coolers.

I first sell my DJ/SR Services then the Lighting. Each light has a rental fee so depending on what the Client wants from me in Lighting, I charge extra according to that need. I DO NOT ITEMIZE THE CHARGES FOR THE CLIENT, I do the math in my head and give them a package deal. When I switch to total DMX with software etc then the prices will go up again.

The great thing about the Vue3.1 or Revo 3 (here in Europe this effect comes under many other names) is how much coverage you get from one unit. High ceiling, big blank wall or down on a large dance floor one of these lights will cover once you've put some thought into the placement.

The only time I haven't been impressed is when the user has two or more of them covering the same area (I see this a lot) you really do just get a blur of dots and lose the whole cluster patterns.

true, but as with most lights
no one on the dance floor really sees oir appreciates the "pattern"....
they just know there are "flashy lights" in their eyes.
unless it is pointed at the ceiling, WE are probably the only ones who notice

I will be mounting the Revo and the Vue each under one of my Bose 802s. I am actually using a Lighting stand as a speaker stand, that can be elevated to 10'. Whenever I can utilize a ceiling or blank wall I will surely use one of those lights on that space. Once I go to full DMX I will alternate the use between the two. A scanner and washes will be used for the dance floor crowd once the dance floor gets occupied. A moving head or two with Gobo effect will also be an audience light.

Thank you! I was resistant to personally getting into lighting because it is so time consuming. I used to subcontract it to a buddy of mine but he has gotten extremely busy and I had clients asking me for it more and more. They were willing to pay extra for the service so I figured "Why not?" It has been paying off since I went solo with it. I do want to do it well and once i get into full DMX I will hire a helper to handle that part.

I must give credit to those on here who have been using Lighting. I learned from them by reading posts as to what to do as well as what not to do.
