I've been needing to complete an upgrade for quite some time, but really worked on it pretty hard the past few weeks. I unveiled it this weekend and so far, alot of good feedback. I certainly think it's a GREAT step in the right direction. I'm also sure there are some things within WP that I still need to tweak or could add to make it better and I'm learning more each day. A BIG Thanks to Big Dan for sharing his knowledge & helping as well.

The old site: http://djpartytunes.com/index2.html (The regular index page currently forwards to the new site, until I make sure all SEO stuff works on the new site as it still needs some tweaks.

The site looks great - the only little suggestion that I would have to offer is that there are some direct links to facebook and there are future potential brides that would be looking for their DJ from a work site, which facebook may be blocked. Something to keep in mind....

Funny thing is, my SEO stuff looks like a total freakin' mess and was put together by myself many years ago with just a little bit of knowledge about it, but it works. With that said though, I do plan on tweaking it and cleaning things up. I'm assuming Headspace is a WP plug-in???

Thanks for the grammar correction...I've read every page a dozen times and I still have missed things. Probably not on the MTV logo. ;)

WordPress has a small learning curve. I did splurge a bit and purchased the theme, but definitely dig into reading some of the help material.

Agreed, but I can't accommodate everyone at this time. If it wasn't for the fact that FB has been so great to the business, I'd bring it all onto my server. If they like what they see at work and can't reach FB, I hope they check things out when they can. But, I do plan on adding some more images on the pages as well.
 
real nice color with the pics.
you may want to make your PARTY TUNES logo at the top bigger
the pics are awesome and actually distract you from the company name
also, I would add "DJ" or "DJ SERVICE" in with the actual company name at the top
I know you say it just below the pics,
but it never hurts to be blatently obvious and hit them over the head with a 2-by-4
(well, it DOES hurt, but you know what I mean)

Actually, I like things the way they are and have it set that way for a reason. Most visitors already know who it is when they come to the site, since most of the visitors are word of mouth or search engine based. I also want my pics to be the main attraction to the site; it's what sells my service(s), along with my reviews I get from past clients! :) Not to toot my horn to hard, but I've already got 16 on the books for 2012 at a very nice fee increase over 2011, so I'm close to shutting the books for 2012.
 
The site looks GREAT! Definitely a lot of time and effort.
I would advise tightening up the song list you make available. Just a quick glance I noticed a lot of duplicates in the listing. I know it is a pain to automatically produce a song listing and avoiding duplicates, but it also puts the question in the potential clients minds, if you are counting duplicates separately when you announce a 22000 + library. This is one big reason I do not put my song list on my website. I do have a Karaoke listing on mine and although I have missed some duplicates, it should be minimal.

Overall a great job. Thanks for sharing.

Actually, Thank You for the reminder. I completely forgot about that and wanted to get that corrected, even though by my tracking information, it doesn't get downloaded much.

Love your site! Whoever helped you--they deserve Kudos! It is extremely appealing...I can not see a prospective client leaving to go to another.

I agree 100%! I just hope my new site when it gets finished will be close to this one looking that great as yours. I didn't even look at all of it but just from the home page i loved it! You gave me some ideas. I know i can't do everything you did and i wouldn't anyway but this site is worth a client taking a look past the home page!
