10/8 sure is popular this year. I just had a call from a groom who needs lighting-only. 15-20 led cans, spotlight the cake, monogram and 2 amber par cans on Ts to light the head table (10 people). I do $1,350 for this (DJ included) and quoted him $800 for uplighting only. Wondering how that price strikes you guys and still trying to decide if I want to take this job. I'll have to buy another 15 cans to do it ($1200) but that'd give me 3 sets of cans for future jobs. Decisions, decisions.

Why not just rent extra lights when those rare, high-usage dates come along?

They don't want to just rent cans. They want to buy a lighting package. The real question is whether to spring for more cans. I already have 40 slimpars. This job would be another 20. I've got 10 stage ape blazers. Guess I could spring for a small batch of slimpars and finish out the job with the blazers.

It would break my heart to sell you more Slimpars Rick. LOL. Oh, I did tell you that the price went down on them, right? :)

Ben

Yes, dang your black heart. :triwink:

Can't get any nibbles on those blazers or I would've already called you before now.

Right now I have 80 leds in cases for uplighting gigs. If you're costs are covered, it can't hurt to add another 15 more to your arsenal.
