optima led 64 dip switches

Maybe some has some input on this....I am trying to hookup a couple new par cans to the chauvet obey 3 controller, but I cant make any sense of setting the dip switches on these cans....should be pretty basic but i have had no luck....I posted the link below to the owners manual....I hope someone can help......

As the manual says, set dip switch #10 off to put the fixture in DMX mode. Then use the other switches to set the DMX address you want...in this case, 1. So switch 1 should be on and all the others should be off.

just got off the phone with Optima.......looks like their par cans are 5 channel....channels 4 and 5 used for strobe and dimming.....so the Obey controller will not work.....thanks for the input though !!!!!!

It'd work as well as a three channel light. One dosen't NEED strobe or dinning channels; they're a convenience and the controller can simulate them.

That said, I support not getting an Obey 3 unless that's HONESTLY all you need.

In many cases the dimmer channel starts at 0% leaving the lights off, so if you don't touch that channel you have no light.

still not sure how that would work....Ill stick with the Chauvets
