Any source for "stock" gobos in a cursive (i.e. "pretty/sissy") font?

Okay, I want to get a source four jr for my larger events but don't want to have to custom-cut gobos. I'd like to purchase all 26-letters in the alphabet in a "pretty" (i.e. cursive) font, M-size. All the stock gobos I've seen are block letters (arial). Does anybody have a source that doesn't want to rape me for $65 per letter?

How can you characterized it as reasonable or unreasonable?

I was wondering the same thing. Did you buy your CDs for 2 dollars or 15?

It's easy. They're selling other "stock" gobos, with either arial or brush script for $12-$15. They're continuous re-runs that can be cut while the machine is idle. I can understand $65-$100 for a one-off production but for standard replications, sorry, it's price-gouging in my book.

Yes, you may think is expensive however they're still in business and still selling them so somebody has to be buying at said price. Maybe since you want to buy the whole set you can contact them and see if they offer a discounted price for the set.

Well, Rick already knows the exciting conclusion to this post, but I figured I'd post it for everybody else. He picked them up from us today for just $12 a letter... and a Source4. :)

Honestly, I'm "settling" for that font, mainly because you guys can supply it at a FANTASTIC, FAIR price. I'd still like the Edwardian font and will buy those as well, provided roscoe gets off the dime and quits price-gouging. Thanks Ben. I really appreciate you guys and am stoked about having a killer gobo for my bigger venues.

Ben da man!

Ok, now what was the font? I agree with Rick on this one. If they can cut stock gobo's for the lower price, what is the problem doing it on single letters. :tricool:

Dunno.... just the way it is. They offer "stock" letter gobos in 3 different fonts. Anything different is not "stock". I agree with you guys too and I suggested it. We'll see if it ever goes anywhere.

I'm about convinced to make a few calls to some old machine-shop clients. I'm willing to bet I can find an operator who'd be glad to pickup some easy biz to keep his machines humming.

Let me know, that would be music to our ears.

Ben,

I just sent off a request for quote to a local machine shop. After a brief description of what we needed the rep. didn't think it would be any big deal to produce. I've given him specs on 28mm and 63mm slugs, 15mil thickness, single-letter per slug and waiting on a price now. As for custom orders, it's been a while since I dealt with CAD milling equipment but I'm guessing they can probably just take a properly-sized PDF. Not sure what the setup costs would be on individual custom slugs.

Will keep you informed.
