I Need Help w/Gemini PT-2000s and a FX-7000

My friend who originally got me in to DJing has the stated equipment, and he just phoned me up saying that I could have possibly broken his left PT-2000. I'm not really for buying a new one, as I have no money. He's checked his volumes, gains, cables, etc. I just wondered if anyone had any solutions? The actual problem is in the left turntable, it is noticeably quieter than the right one. PLEASE HELP ME!
 
Check the cartridge and the cartridge connections, I would remove the cartridge on the appropriately working turntable and install it on the other one and see if that fixes the rpoblem.
