Done! Now I need to send you my bill, whats your billing address?

BTW those pictures should be spread apart more! LOLOLOLOL:sqlaugh::sqlaugh::sqlaugh:

How can I like you, if I've never met you... :sqconfused: :sqlaugh:

There's also the possibility that I don't like you, or maybe I don't like photo booths... I also don't really like Facebook.

So many variables -- let me sleep on it... yorofl:

What do the "likes" do for the big picture? Do they affect the SEO? Unless the likes reach people in your service area, I don't get it.

He'll feel better, and then he can raise his rates... :D

Then his head will explode (for some reason, it hasn't yet)... yorofl:

I dunno, just seems like the thing to do. :triwink:

I gather that, for biz accts, a "like" is something akin to a friends list. Obviously, the more "likes" you have, it gives the illusion that you're "all that and a bag of chips" to prospects who happen to cruise by to check you out.

Then again, maybe it's just my inferiority complex kicking in again.

Would you classify an illusion as perceived value...? ;)

Here's where I have an issue with this:

You are asking people to prop up your rep on Facebook, so the clients think you are the cat's meow. None of us have ever seen you work, so we don't know what we're liking. That presents a moral dilemma for some.

Secondly, you posted this on a public forum -- meaning it will show up on the search engines -- so if anybody starts searching you out, they will probably find this, and then your rep points in the clients eyes will shrink, because they will see you asked your peers for a good rep without any good reason for them to give it, other than you asked... ;)

You can see how this "friends" or "like" thing becomes totally useless as a selling point, because it has no basis as a judgment tool, such as a review by an actual past client...

Rick hits on one of the key points why I don't care to have a bunch of you being a fan of my FB business page. I see no value in it if page posts are going out to a bunch of DJ's. Why would they give a crap if I'm running a special...heck, they'll probably end up coming here and flaming it. ;) What value does it have?

I for one like viewing the photos other DJs put on their pages. As to numbers. I do like having more fans. Even if it is not "true" to me it gives a better image. Yes it is a false image, but I would bet there is no person in the world who has a 100% true image in their life. Why not let it work for you?

Geez Karl...

Last week you were championing all sorts of internet morals, and this week yer saying it's ok to present a false image to all those folks (and kids) on FB...? :sqerr:

Don't tell me yer flip-flopping on that whole God vs. Satan thing... yorofl:

Exactly right. In my opinion, it has a purely psychological impact for potential clients who stumble across you solely in that medium.

Until - that is - they decide to look at the fans themselves and see that they're other dj's or your relatives in Connecticut!
