I use it, but only for home use. Its perfect for my computer use for anything I do. I havent used it in a gig yet, but Im sure it will do fine.

I use and highly recommend. Super clean, super versatile, and great build quality - you could probably drop kick the thing onto concrete with no ill-effect.

ONLY quibble about it - lack of XLR main outs, but that's a very minor point.

Sorry to derail but Justin you got the coat?

Back on topic my tiny little 60 dollar Behringer mixer was excellent for what it offered I have no reason to think the 802 would be any different.

Sure did buddy, ODJT Pimp Coat & Hat are safe & sound here. Just now getting over a nasty bout of bronchitis and sinus issues, so wanting to hook up with Ruben here real soon. Any idea who/where it is going next?

That's up to you -- just don't send it out of the country...

Actually your not giving correct info

I have sent him instructions as to the next destination. Uranus aint on the current schedule.

I have an 802. I picked it up for $65 at a local store as a backup. I have used it at a few small gigs and it works fine. Definitely not something I'd use for a good singer or for any recording because of the high noise floor, but for vocal PA or playing music in a loud environment it works fine.

Typo Error!

Aren't you supposed to put a space between the "r" and the "a" in Uranus?:yoOMG:

No, this is to help people with dyslexia. you start putting spaces in there and God knows what's being read yorofl:

People have a tough enough time deciphering Tuckisms. Dont go adding potential for more confuscious or confusion.

I've been using one a couple of times a week for the last two years, no problems.
Even if it doesn't cost much, it still sounds good to me.

I have the UB-802 (precurser to the Xenyx series). I got it as a backup for my backup. Now it is my main "table top" mixer that I take to clubs...anytime I am plugging into someone else's PA system. For what it is, this is a good mixer.

The Soundcraft and Mackie versions are noticeably better built and better sounding...but at a 3x to 4x premium in $$$.

the Production company I work with uses them all the time
we do a lot of events where we need several small systems (parade floats)
and mix several mics, and/or mics and a CD player, etc...
it's a great little PORTABLE mixer when space is limited.
