Lights look a lot better with the fog or haze, but down here I don't give a rat's ass about fire alarms and other stuff. Up there you have to worry about a whole bunch of stuff. Talk with Ducky or J Mac about their low lying fogger maybe they're able to guide about how it behaves pertaining to all the fire stuff.

Well J Mac and Ducky's toy is for low laying fog I believe.... similar to a Pea Souper.... what I'm more interested in is Hazers I believe that help with lazer beams and other light beams that shine from above.

This post came about because I noted that someone from one of the local high schools accessed my party page via a link in from one of the local venues that has me on their website as a recomended vender..... so I was trying to get ahead of the game in case they make an inquiry and ask about things like that....

Yes they do, but as I mentioned you do not know if the fire alarm will be triggered. Or I would also look at having the Fire Marshall or Fireman on site to turn off the alram system.

Very true and if having one was what they wanted I'd first have to consult with the venue they choose to have it in..... maybe even run a test with one.

Like I said though this question came up chiefly due to someone accessing my website from a high school and not an actual lead.

Think of the effect you want Rob (and stop gazing at every visitor to your site) ;)

Look at the eyes of people when they dance, where are they?

They are not looking up, in fact, most are looking down. I've noted that guys in particular tend to look down when dancing, and chicks tend to look slightly higher as a basic rule of thumb.

So, look at any professionally produced light show -- do you see fog high in the air? No -- because that's not where the eyes will be looking. So concentrate on how better to do the effect on low lying "pea soup", as you call it. Anything above knee/waist level is -- well, a waste :)

We haven't used our foggers at a dance in years....with a well set up show, they aren't a necessity.
How much: basically never. I could count on 1 hand how many times we've used fog in the past 5 years. Schools or proms alike.

Our show has enough balls to it to be visible without fog; the effect is a little different, but no less powerful.

the last time i used fog i set off the fire alarm, that was years ago sooo i don't use it anymore , it does give a great effect
