So Ducky and I finally got the free time to break out our new fogger and give it a test. Now just to give you an idea we were outside on the deck and there were sustained winds of 10-15mph so not all of the pics are of what the fog should be doing. We'll be using this for a wedding in just over a week.



Overall we're quite happy with the fogger. Some of the nice things about it...
- it holds a full big bag of ice (22lbs) in the hopper
- and no worries about draining the water once the ice has melted, it has a built in pump that can be set to just on or automatic or completely off. We're going to look for a bucket type thingy to use at gigs so the pump can be set to automatic because waiting to pump a full 22lbs of ice takes about an hour.
- as far as gigs go, the machine is extemely quiet, even when pumping out the water.
- the controller it comes with is pretty nice, it also has a long cord which is great for putting the fogger away from you.
- at full output, fog pours out, it managed to cover our deck in about 10-15 seconds.

Just a quick note about the second-to-last picture: We had another person who we said would not have their picture posted on the internet, so J Mac used Paint and removed them.

I am pleased about this fogger, and I cannot wait to use it at next week's wedding! :)
 
I've gotta get some glasses. I thought this said "Atari Frogger"

what are you doing in the right side picture of the third row?
you have some kind of paper and you appear to be looking...or reading something.
Hope thats NOT the instruction manual.

It will be interesting to hear how it does,,,, does it make the floor wet or leave residue?

Also, how long does the ice last,,,,, is it good for a one time shot, or can you use it all night? I am guessing as long as you keep the ice loaded,,, but that doesn't seem real convenient.

I love the "dry ice" low hanging for effect, and it would be great to see and hear how it goes...

Mike, I figured since the fogger wasn't cheap ($700 from NLFX) I had better make it appear that I was looking at it so Ducky wouldn't get mad. I can't tell you what was in it though.

It didn't leave our deck slick at all and just a touch of water the deck normally gets slick and no residue either. We loaded the ice hopper with a 22lbs bag about $4.00 at the gas station and it completely filled the hopper (as shown in the pictures) on a normal day supposedly the hopper will keep the ice for up to 8 hours depending on how much you use the fogger. It was fairly warm outside for us, but pretty dry as well when we did this. After the first run we lost maybe 1/3 of the ice and the fogger was running almost non-stop for not quite 15 minutes. We later ran the fogger again about an hour later for another 15 minutes, once again pretty much non-stop and when it was all said and done we had about 1/4 of the hopper left.
 
ooooohhhh that would be fun at Halloween with all the Trick Or Treaters! :)

Hampton, I'll see what I can do. The only way I can do video is via my camera and last I recall it doesn't turn out so well, but I'll see what I can do.

Oh great, now Jon will be in trouble with Anna. She'll be wondering who the chick was that Jon was leering at on the deck....:tritongue::tribiggrin:
