How much system can you fit into a small car?

I register my Chevy Blazer on Friday. Much more room than the Hyundai Accent I was using.

Good luck, Danny
I used a mini van for YEARS, but had to sell it.
Bought a 2003 Blazer, and I have been goin crazy trying to fit it all in!
(mine is a two-door)
I am using a cargo platform that slides into the hitch mount...
but I still have a problem with the weather.
I am considering buying an enclosed trailer from a friend.

This is merely for amusement purposes,

But why would some of you want to cram the gear in so tight for anyways?

Can you fit it in there...yes...is it really worth fighting to make it work...well..not for me.

Well, for the Duck and myself, the Focus and the Civic are the only two vehicles we own, so we have to make it work. Now mind you there are plans for a new vehicle this year. But hey, there is something to be said about a car that gets loaded down with gear and still snags 35mpg.

I do about 90% of my events out of a MIATA. Pulling a 3 1/2 x 4 trailer.

In all honesty, it blows people's minds when we roll up. But if we can't fit it in the car and trailer, we rent a bigger vehicle. We bring enough PA system for more than twice the number of people, the 'rig' itself has multiple backups. And in all actuality, if I use powered tops, I can fit everything but my 'core' rig into the car. If I use a 'smaller' rig - I can do an entire event out of the car alone.

But as long as you have professional equipment, backup equipment, and what you need - does the 'vehicle' really matter? We get right at 30mpg while pulling the trailer with the Miata - and there's something to be said for pulling up with the top down. :)

Yes..but my oh my...that is a crammed load.

Must be different in different states. I asked my agent about this and they said it would be covered. It is just like driving to a regular job. The job is being done elsewhere, not in the vehicle on the road.

Now the gear is not covered. The vehicle is.

Maybe so! That is why its good to ask. At least now you are aware.

when I started, I had NO equipment, just LP's
the company I worked for owned the gear and set it up for each gig.
By the time I started doing my own gear, I stuffed it in a Neon, cause that was the car I had at the time. and it all fit.
I'm pretty sure people who stuff their gear into small cars
either do it because they don't have a lot of gear
or do it because they have no other choice....(at the moment)

You've gotta post a photo of that! :)

I just saw a Ford Transit. Been out a few months I'm told by the owner. Kind of strange looking, but an easy load, and a 4. The owner said it's been reliable as hell, and in a few months has topped 40K already.

The only thing that weirds me out a bit is that he says it's made in Turkey for Ford....

mine's a 1993 4 door S-10 blazer.
Have the same equipment that I had before the switch from the Accent to the Blazer.
So fitting the stuff should be easy.
