I can tell you there is a huge opportunity is available and I am ready to move my pawns and make a move.
Just the potential from my gigs is anywhere from $600-$900 per event. I've will do at least 5-6 events for sure this year.
And this does not include being able to market more exclusively into schools. And...it helps advertise my youth project for other bigger towns, where the take home is a lot bigger.
This isn't a bad idea...some of you people are under estimating this area just a wee bit. You look on the map and see one town has only 300 people, but you don't realize these smalls towns normally have consolidated schools, and people add up quickly. Sometimes 4-5 towns.
I normally stay out of threads like these, because really, its none of my business whatever anyone does with their money. Or if they starve trying to build a 6K$ rig. Really.
But I will put in my .02 and coming from a person like me that doesnt say a lot, take it with a grain of salt.
Alll the quotes highlighted in the red are all in FUTURE TENSE and dont show that you have ownership of such.
Words like POTENTIAL, IS AVAILBLE. None of these gigs belong to you yet.
How many people on boards have said " HEY , I WANT TO START UPLIGHTING, BUT I DONT HAVE ANY PICS. CAN SOMEONE LEND ME SOME PICTURES SO I DONT HAVE TO STEAL AND PRETEND THEIR MINE? AT LEAST IT GIVES MY FUTURE CLIENTS A REFERENCE OF WHAT I PLAN TO PROVIDE THEM" No harm here. Book the Uplights based on these, then when they have bought the Uplight package, then go ahead and buy them.
Book a few of these SUPER SCHOOL DANCES first that will pay for at least 50% of the gear then upgrade.
Remember, that NONE of your posts so far have indicated that you have commitments yet, just that you dont have the gear to chase after these clients.
Remember all the dot.com startups? Theys sold products and services that didnt even exist to Startup Investors and made tons of cash. Some delivered and many didnt. But they were still able to sell themselves.
Buying the gear is the EASY part. Selling yourself and your service and following through and delivering is the harder part IMO.
