What can I say....Ben loves me more!!

You help sell about a dozen TX rigs and he'll treat you like his second child as well. :sqwink:

And you do a really good job at it. I must say. It was great hearing an opinion and experience from someone who uses them at gigs and on a daily basis. It really helps to justify spending the $$ when you have a customer backing the product.

This isn't to say that Ben isn't a wealth of knowledge. I trust him fully as a supplier and for product recommendations and PK. I may even have to fly him in as the best man at my wedding.

The whole NLFX crew is fantastic to work with.

Wow Joe if your gonna spill the beans

on something like this share the punch line for those of us not in the loop please.Im just sayin':sqwink:
But i thought it was funny that Mike D. used the same trick that another company used to show a "big" punch from a little speaker. I'm just sayin'.... ;)

Wow

Way to go Randy you have been a loyal supporter of a great company.

Oh ok...

In the NLFX Demo Room - the one wall was set up with latest/greatest EV speakers.... including what looked like a 15" powered speaker sitting on the floor, set up like a floor monitor. Well, Mike & the crew were demo'ing it & then as part of the demonstration, they pulled off the front of the speaker & nestled inside this 15" speaker, was the new 8" powered EV that they revealed at NAMM. The sound coming from it was amazing.

While I thought this was a nice 'gotcha'... I can say that I've been at a local audio store which has you go through a product demonstration with similar "reveals" to show a "big sound" from a "tiny speaker"....

I'm just sayin'.... :sqwink:

BTW, we did see the Leopard coat in the NLFX room. Not sure if Ben was gonna wear it at some point, or if he was bequeathing it to another attendee. We missed ya Jon!

Cheers,

Joe

So what are you saying Joe? Are you like an 8" packed in a 15" case?:sqerr:

What size crowd do you think they can cover? We mostly go them for other rooms at events or ceremony work, cocktail hours, and small business events if they need FOH sound for speeches or such.

Not sure.

And rather not name another brand name, but I would use a "Compact" speaker that I currently own for the same application. But, if I didn't have these 2 "Compact" units, I would buy the EV's in a heartbeat.

Cheers,

Joe

Are they the compact Peavey's I've been hearing about?

I picked up 16 Omnisistem Par 56 fixtures from Kat & Ben. You can't beat the deals they come up with, and best of all, can't beat their service and friendship!

These fixtures will augment my Up-Lighting offering for my clients.
Thanks Kat *** Thanks Ben!

We also purchased, albeit not MB Demo stuff a pair of the new ZXA1 speakers. Not sure when they are supposed to be here. I think Ben said they were shipping this week?.

I look forward to hearing how those work out for you.
Yes, the EV ZXA1's are also on my wish list.

I already have the new ZXA5's...and those have the best sound & the most thump for a powered speaker I have ever heard.

Since I bought the dual 15's from Ben several weeks ago, I curbed my purchasing a bit.

I have an Ultimate cart on order, bought an LED Double Derby from Omnisystems, picked up a Hercules Remix roadcase that I'm going to use for my lighting computer. Some DJ Crew tshirts, some lighting clamps and I will be ordering one of the photo booths from Atlanta Photo Booths.

Yes, Steve Lynch's Atlanta Photo Booth is on my short list X 2. :sqeek:
