I got an email for a free 2 month trial for DJ Intelligence. Looking over their site, it pretty much looks like the same service at Gigbuilder.

Can anyone tell me what the difference between the two and which would actually drive more traffic to my site?

I also got the same but I more need one that can be used offline
because not everytime I can get to internet

and I wont buy a iphone just to use one site

I have DjSolutions and that works for me

The offline aspect is not something I need because I carry a netbook and usb broadband card with me everywhere (and yes I do mean everywhere) I go.

I just can't see what the difference between the two services are.

Check the sponsor here. Awesome program.

Dave

Why not DJ Event Planner? I've been using it for some time now. As Dave said, great program.

I am using Gigbuilder now and it is what I used 5 years ago when I stopped. I was just hoping to kind of get a side by side comparison of the programs. I really can not tell much difference between them and was wondering if one drove more traffic to your site than the other.

I don't think any of them drive much traffic to any site.... but, I do see some from wedj.com simply because you do get a spot on their site. None of the others to my knowledge even have that. But, to be honest I can't attribute any actual bookings that were booked as a direct result.

You can get a listing on DJ Finder w' Event Planner. I have only booked 4 or 5 from WEDJ, but it has paid for my listing many time over.

Patrick I recommend Troys offerings even if he werent a sponsor here as he like Rick is quick to respond to any issues through the site. He doesnt live here like Rick but he gives great timely assistance through his site connections. You wont find better customer service in the other offerings. Give it the 30 day free trial I think you will like the system Troy has setup at www.djeventplanner.com

Tell Troy at Dj Event Planner that DJ Mikey Mike Sent you and He will hook you up!!! Just put Mikey Mike in the special code area and get 3 months free if you sign up for a year was the old offer with me ... he has adjusted his pricing so just ask him what he will do for you with my referal before you sign up and Im sure he will work with you!

DJEP is a great program and I would highly recomend it but I suggest if you don't have some sort of planning tool to get one whatever it is ...you can do the reasearch yourself but this thread looks like its its leaning one way-

MM :)

DJEP for me and I have told many DJ's about it....walking them step by step through the program through Crossloop and Skype. In fact, I presented on DJ Event Planner at our local ADJA chapter meeting tonight. I'd say about 60% of our guys are going to switch to it and soon.

One of the best values for the dollar I've ever spent on my dj business.

Well I just signed up for the free trial of DJ Intelligence, just to test it and see how it is. Then I will try DJEP (if they have a free trial) and make the decision.

I actually get quite a few leads through Gigbuilder (we have already booked 6 events in just 3 weeks through them now) so that is the kind of output I am looking for through the other programs.

Holy crap this thing is wwaayyy over the technical knowledge I have!!! I am completely lost and am not even out of the settings yet, completely to complicated for me, back to Gigbuilder I go.

That's interesting, I have used DJEP for a few years now (yes, I know you were talking about DJI), and tried Gigbuilder at one point last year simply because it came with my WEDJ advertisement (and I needed a second planning program for another site). I was completely lost and frustrated with Gigbuilder and gave up on it after a week.

To answer the original question on this thread -- Gigbuilder vs. DJ Intelligience

I have used both. They are both good programs.

However---

Gigbuilder also incorporates expenses costs, previous sales history and future projections, a profit and loss statement -- and --- most importantly---IT's Free with a Silver or Gold Subscription to WE DJ.

The leads from We DJ are nothing much to speak about.
But the SEO of the WE DJ site is one of the best in the industry, and subscribers enjoy excellent search engine placement because of this.

DJ Intelligence does not aid you in your SEO at all.

I am not endorsing either product--just simply pointing out some differences between the two.

(Incidentally--- I have only booked 2 gigs from W DJ leads in the past 5 years)

I've been with WeDJ and gigbuilder for about 6 years. Main diff, as Steve said, is that gigbuilder is a free manager that comes with the listing subsciption (gold or silver). I've looked at DJI many times over the last couple of years and just have not seen any particular advantage in changing.

I get the majority of my leads from WeDJ.. no matter which search engine is used, WeDJ's site is in the top 3 in every query combo for my area.

If you don't need the listing and are building your own site, DJI may work well for you. The points that Steve made are valid and I like that WeDJ holds instructional webinars a few times a year to keep subscribers up to date.
