I know you asked about Outlook, I use it but not for E-mail. For E-mail I have been using Eudora since 1998 with no problems. It is free.

I love the Thunderbird mail client but HATE the address book import feature.

My signature only has text in it, so I can't help you.

Open a new message, create your signature in that message including the spacing after the body of the message, select the signature & blank space, right click, copy, go to the insert tab, click signature, select signatures, click new, enter a name, click OK, right click & paste into the signature box, click save.

Select this new signature as your default for the appropriate types. You may want to have the images in your new message, but remove them for the replies & forwards to keep it cleaner.

Click OK and you are all set!

Cool. Will that work in Outlook Express too?

I haven't used Outlook Express in may years, but I think it is limited to a plain text signature and some ability to add graphic content. I heard a rumor that it's a dead product and they may have a stripped down version of Outlook as part of the free version of Office 2010 with stripped Word and Excel.

Steve, ditch Outlook Express it's a horrible old beast of an email manager. Check it something like Thunderbird http://en-us.www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/ it's Firefox's step sister for email, a whole lot more manageable than OE and has extensions ala Firefox. ;)

I use Thunderbird for all my POP accounts

Actually Dennis, you might want to read the entire thread before your next release of wisdom. The Maestro from the great white north was specifically asking about outlook express.

actually if you read what steve ASKED

it was for outlook 2007

because of a computer problem I switched back to Outlook, using 2007 but am having some trouble setting up my signature, can anyone give me a hand with it? let me know and I will call you to explain

have a nice day

What I found from some searching is:
Outlook is available as a stand-alone app but... it's $80!
It is not included the Office Home & Student version. ($130 for 3 PCs!)
It is included in something called "Office Basic", but that is an OEM product for pre-installed Office on a new PC. It is not (supposed to be) available as a retail purchase, however if you can find a friendly vendor they might sell it to you. NewEgg sells the license for $160, but you have find your own media.
If you are in the market for a new PC this gets easy, just buy it installed.
The only way to buy it in the retail Office bundle is Office Standard at $340.
