Songs You would play at a car show.

I would post my text number and invite the show goers to text me their requests. This way they hear what will make them feel the moment. Of course with discretion.

Classic Car show or Tuner/ Import Tuner car show?
Classic rock , oldies for classic car show.
Hip Hop and newer for Tuner shows.

he said it better than I would
but it really DOES depend on the show

I'd probably play across all areas, but being more careful with the modern selections.

Beach Boys, Chuck Berry, Dion and the Belmonts, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Dr. John, Leon Russell, Jimi Hendricks, Muddy Waters, Bo Didly, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Everly Brothers, Ray Charles, ELO, Elvis, WAR, The Platters, The Drifters, Sinatra, Dean Martin . . .

What's a tuner show. Here in my area in the US it's just classic car shows. That's all that really matteres any how.:sqwink:

"tuner" is a name for the tricked out little foreign cars with the extra large and extra obnoxious mufflers, lots of ground effects, and stereo systems that rattle YOUR windows as much as they rumblem their own windows.

think FAST AND THE FURIOUS

I have a folder in my computer called "Car Songs"..

I was in a car show circuit for about two years..... I played songs about cars, new or old, mostly old, nothing to obscure because you want people to bop along as they check out the rides.

I would be careful about requests as you might get some youngsters wanting stuff that wouldn't fit the theme.

If I knew how to get a list of the files I would, but yes, I am so lame I don't know how. sorry! LOL :)

I thought those were called "ricers" or is "tuner" the new PC term?

I dont even know how the word TUNER came to be!
but I DO know that "ricers" is similar to foreign motorcycles, which were dubbed as "rice burners"....
and NEITHER of those phrases are PC by any stretch.
:sqeek:

guess it changes depending on where you live, Ducky!

Does anyone have the list by Bear Holt? I lost both the one on my harddrive and the one in print.
I may have it on floppy but than I'd have to buy a USB floppy drive.
