I just started learning to sing this song and fell in love with it. I'm not a huge Ronnie Milsap fan and I was wondering of anyone knows of a compilation disc with other artists that has this song on it? I'd like to have it for DJing. Thanks y'all.

I love Ronnie Milsap's music. Smoky Mountain Rain is probably my favorite song from him. :)

Have a search through Amazon and see what you come up with. I got a greatest hits comp from him last year.

Man, that was fast Fred!

If necessary I'll get a whole disc of RM, but I was hoping for a multi artist compilation. I looked on amazon.com and only found some RM discs listed and that may be the only way I'm going to get that song.

Amazon has it as a download...

PD, I've been in the CD buying mode for a couple of months and I like having the CDs as backup. I rip everything at at least 256 and I just don't think I can get that with a DL.

I think Amazon is 256.... check it. Plus, if it is only one song you need... why spend the extra dough?

Actually I believe Amazon is at 256k I'd have to double check but I think so...

What are the technical specifications of MP3 Music Download files?

Here's more information about music files from the Amazon MP3 Music Downloads store:

* Bit Rate: Where possible, we encode our MP3 files using variable bit rates for maximum audio quality and smaller file sizes, aiming at an average of 256 kilobits per second (kbps). Using a variable bit rate allows us to allocate a higher bit rate to the more complex sections of music files while using a smaller bit rate for the less complex sections. The average of these rates is then calculated to produce an average bit rate for the entire file that represents the overall sound quality. Some of our content is encoded using a constant bit rate of 256 kbps. This content will have the same excellent audio quality at a slightly larger file size.

I had it on a comp album many years ago but I don't recall what the album was called. If I get some timein the next coupleof days I'll see if I can dig it up for you Wiz

Umm duh I have it on vinyl

I don't plan on sending him the record just let him know the name of the complition it's on mabye it can still be bought

I found out after listening to a Ronnie Milsap disc compilation on amazon.com that I really like his music so I'm just going to get the two disc set "Ronnie Milsap 40 #1 hits". Since I've been buying discs at amazon for the last couple of months I'm really loving it. Great prices, fast shipping, great selection and did I mention some great prices? With shipping included I'm averaging maybe $5-$6 a disc. I'm sure that beats the prices I can get them for at any local used CD store.

Thats one of the reasons I like Live Sound Systems, you can't tell the difference. Adjustments in your gains can be made.
