I'm not a big fan of NAME right now. In my years of being a member of their group, they've never done anything faulty until now. They took out $$ from my account without authorization..

So, boys and girls, check your banking accounts. I do every am!!

I'm sure they will put the $$ back...

Now, back to my am coffee before I get ready for my 16 hour Relay for Life is afternoon!

Take care!

Albany,

Break a leg with the Relay!

As for NAME - was it that they auto-renewed your membership? They are the only DJ assoc. I know that does that, apparently. It's in their fine print of their membership paperwork.

Cheers,

Joe

NAME apologized. Refund coming. I asked them never to automatically take out $ again. No sweat...Hopefully.

Relay was awesome. I misplaced my digital camera...No pics :sqmad:

Over 700 ppl! Now for something like this for future reference, I will use more than 2 L1s...I used 2 L1s and 4 B2s.

Hey Tim:

Sorry to hijack...

Thanks for doing your Relay. It is such a good cause.

I caught s^%$ from Bill Kexel on another thread for doing a Relay from 3 PM Friday through 5:30 AM Saturday and then doing a wedding last night (Saturday). He said the bride should have never let me do that. He can take that attitude and shove it straight up his azz. The bride knew the whole time and had no problem with it and knew that I'd only have about two or three hours of sleep. I stilled rocked her wedding with great enthusiasim. Regardless, if she had a problem with it I would have refunded her money and let her go back to looking because the Relay, even though it is not a paid event, is more important.

For Bill's sake I hope neither he nor any of his relatives are struck with cancer. I've lost several due to that killer and events like the ACS Relays are raising some much needed funds for the search for a cure.

Again, thank you.

Hijack all you want bro. Thank you for thanking me. They didn't thank me yesterday am, I'm talking about the organizers of the ACS. Yep, not one Thank you..I don't ask for much...

Will I do it next year??? Mmmm...

With all due respect to Bill, don't worry about him. We all have opinions. Life is too short. There are people that don't care for me neither..Lemme me find my tissues...:sqlaugh:

Thank you again.

Tim:

Give them a chance. They will. You've seen first hand all the things that happen at Relays. It can get pretty hectic for the organizers. Go out to Madness' site and you'll see a nice testimonial to him from the organizers of the Relay he works.

Even if the thank you isn't verbal, believe me, the time you gave is very appreciated.

I go to bed every morning between 5:30 and 7:00 AM! Doesn't everybody who is a DJ?

I don't have a problem doing a wedding the next day!

Man, you just don't know when to quit do ya?
One thread wasn't enough, you gotta stir it up on another thread!

Maybe you should go back & RE-READ the post. I Asked "Does the bride know that you are doing this?" You answered Yes. I said Okay then.

If anyone doesn't agree with you, you immediately explode. I think you have some serious anger problems.

Tom,
Even if Bill had said that (which I doubt) are you answering to him now? Boy, you part timers have to many people to answer to.

Two weeks ago I played an after prom party from 11pm - 5:30am. I then had a bubble party at 11:am. Next I had a wedding which I started setting up at 5:00pm.

Next week I have a wedding on Fri. until 12:00pm. I then have to drive an hour to a camp. I have to be up and playing for 6:00am to start the announcing for a triathelon race. I hope it gets over by 2:00pm because I have a wedding Sat. night that starts at 7:30. I'm getting to old for his sh!@.

And guess what, I didn't ask anyones permission for any of them.:sqlaugh:
