Aphex Compellor AX

I have come into possession of an Aphex Compellor AX but cannot find the specs/manual etc. online. It is missing the power cord (Easy to replace) but I don't know if it is just a plain cord or has a transformer on it. It also has a missing fuse.
Is anyone familiar with this unit or have used it before?

No that is not the one. Mine is the model AX (Written just below the power switch). It has 7 Rotary Knobs, 3 on each side of the Front panel and one in the middle. It is a dual channel, 2 in and 2 out.
I came to understand that these units are wonderful instruments if used properly. I can't find them anywhere on the net.
 
I know it does not say AX in the front panel, but if you go ti the APHEX (http://www.aphex.com/product_finder.htm) main product screen at the bottom it has the links without any pics and there's the link to 323A COMPELLOR/Ax which is the one I linked to. Maybe this unit is the same with some of the aesthetics changed ;)
 
I called and spoke to a tech. The unit that I have is still being used but it is about 20 years old. I have requested a Manual which they will send out. Those units are very impressive and he gave me a couple suggestions for two other units one of which also increases bass without blowing up your speakers and the other unit that helps with limiting a sound output, great for microphones.

I got to ask Ben if he carries these units.
 
Aphex at one time was the secret weapon of some radio stations for a loud clean sound. Used in a set of three, stations used the Compellor, the Aural C Exciter and the Dominator.
The Compellor is a compressor, the Aural C Exciter added sparkle and clarity to the audio and the Dominator as a multi-band limiter to prevent modulation overshoot.

I have been reading the specs and descriptions on their products and they all seem very impressive.
