Traktor and Sound Cards

I am running Traktor scratch Pro, and require a new sound card to enable me to play deck A over the speakers, whilst at the same time play deck B in my headphones.

Native Instruments who make Traktor "recommend a multi-channel card with at least 2 stereo outputs".

I can't find an internal desktop PC sound card with 2 stereo outs - any help?
Any other options eg external sound cards that would enable me to cue tunes and record via USB or such, with low lag?

I too have Traktor and have been using this for 3 years now. Its an external Sound card. Assign Headphones to O & 1 (Shared with the optical out), Deck 1 to 2 & 3 and Deck 2 to 4 & 5 http://www.esi-audio.com/products/gigaportag/

For Traktor you will need 3 pairs of outputs if you are using 2 decks and mixing externally. Headphone(For internal Preview), Deck 1 & Deck 2.
You will need 5 pairs for 4 decks. Headphone(For internal Preview), Deck 1, Deck 2, Deck 3 & Deck 4.
Yes you can get away with the Behringers for two Decks but the drawback is that you will have to mix internally plus you will be occupying two usb ports with more wiring and connections to get jiggled around.

Yes, you can install two soundcards on a desktop PC and dedicate one to playing the decks and the other for headphone....

What they are saying is if you want to dedicated the output of Deck A to one input on your mixer and Deck B to another input on your mixer and have a headphone out for monitoring you'd need a sound card with three separate stereo outputs or three separate sound cards...

The USB sound cards are the easiest to deal with and I'd go with the Gigaport or the Behringer equivalent.... to accomplish what you want to do.

Traktor does not give you the option of using two soundcards. When you go to "Setup or Preferences" it will pull up all the available soundcards installed and you can only choose one. However if after saving your choice then you pull up the other sound card option, you just may be able to assign the headphone to that one. I will have to experiment with that on my Gigaport and onboard soundcard.

Really? Boy, I just ASSumed like VDJ you could select more than one sound card or output.

I'm going back in my hole on this one then... never mind me....:sqembarrassed:
