Getting back to topic, that's gotta be one of the tackiest things I've ever seen on a dress. I hope that's not going to be the fad! :sqeek:

It was an upcharge!

wonder if she keeps it on for the WEDDING NIGHT?

could be fun...could be dangerous

lmao, u people are sick sick sick

I have to agree, I don't like it either, but the crowd liked it judging from their response and who cares really, its their wedding!!!!!

This proves it

The father repeatedly told the groom, "The sun shines out of my daughter's ass.".

This also speaks directly to one of my technology maxims: just because you can do something doesn't make it a good idea. We have reached a new high water mark in tackiness!

I am going to go against the grain on this one.

From speaking from experience, where for my own wedding, I had a waltz custom choreographed for "All I ask of You" from Phantom of the Opera, I have to give the bride and Groom an "A" for originality.

Not only is it obvious the bride and groom had their dance custom choreographed, but they went through numerous weeks of practice with 1:1 dance instructor guidance to pull that off. Further, it was the timing of the lighting, that accentuated a firm "exclamation" of excitement, causing a burst of applause with pleasure.

I've seen hundreds and hundreds of bride groom dances where they simply turn in slow circles like the mirror ball. That takes no creative thought, originality, motivation, or practice for them to make a special moment "over the top."

Personally, my opinion on the DJ's insulting this couple, is that perhaps you may be missing the point altogether, with your general lack of knowledge and personal bias. I know there are some really big ego's in this profession, but I think some of you can't see the trees for the forest being right in front of you.

I would question each DJ who commented this was "redneck," what did you do for your own 1st dance? Turn in circles? Did you have a personal dance instructor/choreographer create a one-of-a-kind dance for you and practice for 3 months to perfect it so well that you made it look fluid and easy? While practicing for those three months, did you enjoy the anticipation of the final production number? Did you think of a final "show of fireworks exclamation" that would cause spontaneous applause and send ecstatic shivers through your being as you finished your personal production?

Just as the song played for the first dance did not continue to play the rest of the evening, I am quite certain the Bride's dress did not remain lit the rest of the night. In fact, the lighting was a custom tailored piece that was "installed" immediately prior and removed immediately after the formal dances.

Quite frankly, I see so many DJ's being concerned about following "the groove" of what everybody else is doing, whether gobo's (imho tacky tacky tacky) or uplighting, or whatever the trend is, you don't see something over-the-top for what it is.

I am not in a popularity contest and can stand a bashing for going against the trend of comments here. That's "ok," as I have always done things to the beat of my own drum anyway. My point, is not to bash, but to try to enlighten those whose eyes are blind to the obvious, if you can only open your eyes and see what you were previously missing.
