Took my video live last night for the maiden shakedown.

I bought a new 46' LCD Toshiba to show them on, And it worked great.

What didn't work so great...my computer. the video locked up or stuttered a few times, And VDJ crashed once on me. But that is due to just flat out not having enough computer horsepower to do the job. Its maxed out.

So...Now i have to spend the week looking at my options for either upgrading my current one, Or building a new one.

I just installed a new video card, so thats one less thing i have to buy..

It went o.k. i guess. The people were really liking the videos, And commented on how cool the t.v. was..So i have something to build on

When I decide to get back to Houston I'm saying bye bye to laptops and buying two or three rack mount computers to do the job. That way there's enogh space for everything and they have a lot more power.

I agree Jacob.

My desktop that i use now is a single processor, 2.2 ghz and 2gb gb RAM,
and another 1gb of dedicated video ram...Still not enough.

I have to see if i can upgrade mine to 4gb of RAM, Put i really think a dual core machine with 4gb of RAM And the 1 gb of dedicated video RAM would be the shizznit.

Howdy,

I use OTSDJ with my Dell 6400 laptop and have never had a problem with video. I use a 3000 lumen projector and show it on the largest flat surface I can find.

Dave

ps. The Dell is 2gb ram and dual core processor. I use the standard video card that came with it.
