I don't even have the light yet and have already emailed all my brides for the next year and offered it as an add-on to my wedding package. I set it at $75for the effect which I sold as this:

"as the bride and groom approach the dancefloor the lights in the venue are dimmed as low as possible (completely off would be best). Your guest immediately notice the night sky full of stars dancing on the ceiling when two spotlights illuminate the newlywed couple on the dance floor. Called the 1st dance under the stars you will feel like the only couple in the room, creating a lasting memory for you and your guests alike"

...or something like that

Papa I agree the the darker the better for this effect.

I think I sent this out to about 25 brides, if even one bites I'll be calling Ben :sqbiggrin:

I can't get past Dave's last post...I'm not sure if it's his use of the work "gina" or that video...or the fact that he knew of that video...I mean, seriously, how do you stumble upon something like that? :sqrolleyes:

Do it you know you want to mine is awesome I just brought in my drunk neighbors and they stayed for 10 minutes looking at it. And if you don't mine I would like to steal your idea. I was going to calling dancing under the stars but I like the idea of the spot also.

I'm offering it as a special package and stand alone, but not as a regular light(charging for it), afterall it's a freakin' laser(as dr. evel would say), and feel it's a little more delicate and expensive to just give it away as a freebie.

I'm looking into purchasing one more and keep that in rotation for lighting rentals. We'll see what happens, so far and it has been only 2 days, I keep on getting wows! from clients. A warning though this light will work best for low ceilings, if you're doing gigs with high ceilings you have to mount it on a truss or such, but still won't get the best out of it.

have any of you had to deal with video guys or photographers not wanting the lights down low? It seems that if you up sell this and then here comes the videographer and he puts on the lights, I guess you would just clear it with the Bride first.....
