I agree for DJ purposes there's no real reason to buy whole albums since the subscription services provide a better value for the most part. I was confused though because you said

If a sinlge ever makes it to radio I'll get it on promo.

The first single from that album, which we we released over a month ago (not sure about the other services), is currently #5 on the Alternative chart. I'd say that's doing pretty good. http://www.tmstudios.com/charts-alt.asp

I would tend to think the general public is done with them.

Sorry Cam, but have to disagree with you here. Just because a band does not have a single on the Clear Channelized radio of today does not mean they are done.

No band that is "done" would get on Letterman for 5 straight nights. No band that is done can sell out stadiums around the world at ticket running $100 and up.

I have listened to the disc once through already and it is on par with their last disc, but no where close to All That You Can't Leave Behind. It will come in at a solid number one and stay in the top 10 for a couple months.

I see that it fell to #12 this week. It's not getting any airplay here. If it makes it over to top 40 I think I may get a few request.

I didn't say they were done. I said the general public is done with them. Meaning I feel their radioplay for this album will be considerably less than their prior albums.

Yes, they will sell a good number of copies and still pack stadiums.

I'll pass on the U2 -- they never really did anything for me...

And Bono -- well, everybody has a right to say what they want -- he just never shuts up :sqerr:

Heck, even Toby and the Dixie Chicks know when to shut up (even me sometimes)

Haha Rick I agree though most cant get me to do as such. Patrick I am waiting and will pass on this one as well and look forward to the next Amy Winehouse Albums release.
