I sent this out to all the schools within a 100 mile radius tonight. I am pretty heavily booked in June with weddings already (June is Prom season here) but some schools have thiers on weekdays I just thought I would try a fishing trip to see the response

Please keep in mind that this is just my opinion and I'm only trying to help...

First off, you'll have to deal with your website. You'll need your own host, not a free one. You'll also need a pretty slick site if you want to attract the school business as that's the first thing the kids will look at.

I just clicked on your website and the ad at the top was one for www.changsterdj.com It had a photo of some 'well equipped' girls on it... While I enjoyed the photo, it didn't help to add any credibility to your business.

I would start with that...

Do you include other information in the envelope, or just the letter?

I sent it by Email Val so that's all they got.

Thanks Steve.

That is something I currently am working on. I met with a web designer on Monday night to go over plans to build from scratch with a domain name I have had for a while. It's been one of those things I had to get to but never made priority until now

Geez with the freakin music!!!!! It's 11:44 here and I didn't have my speakers turned off!! Damn dog went nuts!!

Must have been the youtube link? I'm a freakin DJ of course it's going to be loud lol

Fair enough.

It's a little dry, imo. Almost a line list, rather than something unique that really has a call to action. I'm not into a hard sell myself, so don't take me wrong on that one. I think you're lacking that thing that will grab them.

Now, it is a lot better than many (most) djs letters. It isn't quite the same verbage, but you need a hook. Also, I assume that this goes out to faculty....I'm not sure I really like the facebook/youtube links for that. All little things....always good to go fishing. I'm still getting a few calls for proms--have a couple dates I could fill yet from March 28-June 6....

Man did I misread the title of this thread!!

"My Porn Letter" is what I thought it said, lol

lol, it was that link maestro had in his. lol

Well the letter hooked me two proms and believe it or not a wedding for 2010. One of the teachers from a school that didn't book me told me she found me through the letter

Next year I'm going to pump the letter up a bit see what happens

hey, if it's working, cool, but i agree with the others a bit of tweaking and it could be an oh so nice letter.
