Heres the deal: Today I signed a contract with a resort locally to handle every saturday night between memorial day and labor day for their entertainment. I'll be doing 3- 45 minute full production shows, each with a different theme and a 15 minute break in between them. The first will be a balloon comedy (artistry) routine, the second will be my juggling routine and the 3rd will be an illusion (magic) show. I've performed these shows before but most of them are just single for a school or so. For this resort I'm doing all 3 in one night and have to set a full stage with lighting, sound and effects (we'll be doing bubbles and wireless confetti launches). Due to the nature of some acts, especially the magic act, i need control at my fingertips of my soundtrack without having to go to a laptop or cd player and hit start and stop. I'm open to any sugguestions as to how to control this wirelessly. No particular budget but be reasonable people. I will say it'll be an amazing opportunity both as a performer and financially (given its 3 separate, paid shows). Feel free to ask questions about the shows as well, since I know I haven't talked a lot about my variety acts on here before.

You can use almost any PC wireless remote, and map keyboard shortcuts to commands on the remote, to your software.

Check out the ProDJPC remote or others.

The remotes have a receiver, either USB or RS-232, that plugs into your computer, and a driver running in the background, that translates the remote commands, to keyboard shortcuts.

Under $100 :)

Megaseg and an apple remote or iphone would work i know some djs doing it now
