Hey all, just began workin on my webpage, just designed the welcome page, through wix (Thanks Wizard!! ) , though am designing another one through the website builder of my hosting company which doesnt have flash templates or options, though i could do it, i dont have the time sit through the hassle of designing a Swish site. Anyway, folks, just give me your feedback about it and what u feel bout it. :)
I am designing the banner and other pics in the other pages myself though!
And i havent used any template from wix, just started from scratch myself. Its pretty fun and easy!!

Howdy,

Wouldn't get past the "loading" screen for me. I'll try a different browser.

Also, I'm not a big fan of internet addresses that don't resolve to a single address like www.cnn.com instead of www.wix.com/cnn.

The landing page is actually selling the ability to make a page yourself. So, right off you've got competition for someone who is curious about making a web page.

Thank you Wizard..i started from scratch..and the banners were done in Adobe PS

Yes i did notice it!! Guess i'd have to increase the resolution of my image in photoshop...was tryin to keep the resol low..cos its already a flash site and i dont wanna add onto the delay in loading! Anyway i'll look into it right away. Thanks so much :)

I actually have a domain of my own..which i would be forwarding to wix with the dns addresses directed towards wix. So www.djshaun.com would soon be up and running :)
 
Lols! Not at all wizard! I'm a doctor by profession. Part time disc jockey, now producing my music, as a passion cum income raiser! I'd been designing for years now, images, and video editing too, which i picked up myself! :)
 
The reason I asked is because I was really impressed with your graphic on the main page. It looks great. My website is informational with no flashy graphics because I have no idea of how to create or modify graphics or photos. I was really impressed with the look and layout that you made. If that's the first time you've done this, then I would say you have a talent and gift for this kind of thing.
 
Thank you so much wizard! I'm in fact honoured by your comments! You could make yours better too..prolly..i could lend u a helping hand once i am done with my site.. :) And no this is not the first time...i've been designing posters , banners n websites for quite some time now :)

Shaun, I knew by the looks of your page that this wasn't the first time you've done this kind of thing. Wix is so easy to use you'll be finished with your website in no time.

I'm satisfied with the theme and design that I've finally settled on and as soon as I get my videos made and on the site I'll be done for a while. I've tweaked and tweaked and there's no more tweaking I can do.

The next tweaking would be to totally change the way the whole thing looks and that is not going to happen right now. When I do I'll hire someone to create a professional graphic banner like yours for the splash page and then some sharp looking smaller banners for all the rest of the pages. That's months and months away and I'm sure I'll know a lot more about all of this by then.

I'll check back at you site from time to time to see what you've done.

In the near future most people will have a fast enough internet connection and a powerful enough PC that things will load quickly and web pages will get more flashy and have more and more video, music, blinky stuff and all kinds of entertainment to keep people interested and on their site.

Look at Hank's website, it's a good example of what I'm talking about. Actually I haven't looked at it lately so I don't know if it's the same as what I saw a few months ago. His myspace page which he made with wix has a similar look, but it's of course not nearly as full of functions nor should it be.
