I was browsing around ebay and I came across a 12' light stand with a T bar that has an upper T and below it a second T that looks like it can be adjusted from the upper T. Anyways, just wondering if anyone has one of these and if you like it? I really don't want to get a truss. I'm going to be getting several smaller DJ flashy, spinny light thingies that I can have going all at the same time or that I can alternate between depending on the song.

At first I liked the look of a truss, but I've decided at least for now to go with two T bars based on the size of the majority of weddings that I anticipate doing being 150 or less.

Not sure of the brand you were looking at but I started with a set of double T's with a support bracket and found them only good for very light fixtures.

They were made of PVC type plastic and I moved to standard Steel T-tops from Yorkville that fit the tops of steel speaker/lighting stands.

Much more rugged for me..

I have exactly the same thing but with no crank....so far so good

Mike I really like that crank up one you posted. I also like the idea that I can buy one now and then a second one later when I expand my light show.

Ok, so once you have let's say 4 or more lights on the T bar, do you have a power strip at the base of the stand or zip tied to the stand? Do y'all use chase controllers?

I have one of these too....it works well! We usually run 4 lights across the top.
