Need a music recommendation for an event

My wife and I are planning a Christmas party for a regular client which includes 9 dental practices. This years theme...a night at the Oscars...in fact we're having giant Oscar props and other memorabilia brought in for the event.

I'm looking for Oscar type instrumental music (just like the actual Oscars) as the people are heading up to get their awards. Any suggestions??

You also have to get that song from Nick's "Fairy Odd Parents". It's called "Shiny Teeth" by Chip Skylark (AKA Chris Kirkpatrick from NSYNC).

I actually did a search for academy award themes and it came of with movie songs of the year. I'll just have to find a good instrumental I guess.

What you should do is get a list of the award categories and find movie titles that match in a funny way. Then, play the corresponding theme.

That's a cool idea too Andy...I never thought of that. We do have a red carpet where I'll be announcing the people as they come in.

The event is this weekend and my wife has been all over it. We actually have a huge pair of Oscar like statues being set up along with other props. I'll try not to forget my camera so I can post some pics.
