I ordered it based on your praises. I don't have time to try it tonight, but I was disappointed to find out that it only has a 16 bit digital processor instead of a 24 bit
(like the Soundblaster Live).
I do trust you though.
I too trusted his praises and went looking for one at the local GC.
I have been using a nice Tascam US-122 and also the Echo Indigo (for laptops).
The GC did not have any in stock. I was also looking for a mixer and bought a Behringer XENYX 1622FX. When I took it out of the box, there was the Berhinger UCA202 included. I was not expecting this and it was a total surprise.
I installed it and compared it to the internal sound of ALL of my rig PC's including the iMac, and of course my laptops. (we use PC and Mac)
Of course the result was AMAZING. No comparison. Except for the iMac and Powerbook, they sounded just as good as the USB unit. (maybe not. but it was close)
Then I compared it to the other interfaces mentioned above ( and they are superior) and it came out shining!
I thank you Rick for the great suggestion and I have ordered another one to install on another rig. I am very happy at how small they are and I can stack it anywhere in my coffin/boxes! (the Tascam takes up too much room but sounds great.
When I A/B's them I would have one VDJ/Megaseg set for both outputs into separate channels and play song and have the EQ and volume settings exact. Then of course fade to one or the other. It was always like night and day in favor of the Behringer interface. have not compared it to the Griffin iMic yet.
