Thanks for all the props and advice. I'm still trying to settle into the right price point for these and figuring out what I'm happy with for the up sale. I'd set up just about any configuration for $500+, and why I dropped down to $20 for the second 10....but I see what you're saying Cap about making that seem like the first 10 are over priced and will likely jump up to $30 for the second 10.
To answer some questions:
These fixtures are a rectangular 4 channel LED fixture...252 LED's nice and bright. In this case I had 8 of my own and rented 12 more. Next month I'm trading in my 8 LED 56's for 6 of these rectangular versions and buying 12 more. These newer LED's are 6 channel and have some built in fade features. I'd like to be able to hit a button and have the whole room slowly fade during dinner hour. The fact that they sit directly on the floor, no need for a base. They have a bracket on one side that you can adjust and give the fixture a little tilt...perfect! THe cords can sneak behind them. They are the same size as your typical floor register in your house. I inlcuded a pic (I think)
This set up took me about an hour. I had 3 "stringers"...12 guage extension cords that plug into an outlet then have 4 outlet sockets every 4-5 feet. Perfect for a long wall run. They were all linked with DMX cable and controlled using my Elation DMX controller. When I get more of these I will buy another controller just for the up lighting. It was a pain to have to program my movers along with the uplights for every scene. The brides colors were pink and yellow so I set the scenes using two lights at home the night before, then just addressed half of them to fixture 3 and the others to fixture 4 so I could have the alternating color effect with my scenes.
In this set up I also linked everything to some led par 36's in my truss stands (2 in each) so they were on the same page with their friends.
I'm all about this uplighting at my gigs these days. I set up 4-8 of these almost everywhere I go, then just add a couple movers and maybe my mirror ball and call it good.
One thing I didn't include in the video was me getting some footage about 10 minutes until guests arrived and backing up into the bride/groom special table. I knocked over thier center piece candles and one of them broke and wax spilled on thier nice table cloth:sqerr: I grabbed one from another table, and moved thier place setting to hide the wax stain - they never had a clue

The video is priceless though (said some choice words), sent it to the couple who got a kick out of it.
Later everyone, after a late one last night I'm enjoying the rest of the weekend off!!!!!!
