Weddings Dating wedding guests

yes, when i was much younger, that was a great opportunity to meet young ladies. always stayed professional but still found my way to "hook up".

I met my girl friend/fiancé' at a gig, but it wasn't a wedding. Really didn't interact much that night, but ran into her again the next weekend at a local club, and been together ever since 1987.
 
Never dated anyone I meet at a wedding but have "hooked up" a couple of times with wedding guest!
 
Yes, I have.

People meet "at work" all the time. Ours is more social than many other kinds of work. As long as you're not being inappropriate, why not?

It's one thing if it's a co-worker. It's quite different when it a customer.



Like I said, I met mine at a club gig. In all three cases, they were regulars, we got friendly, one thing led to another.

And, most importantly, the really important conversations, those that led to the hook up, occurred either before or after my shift.



Private parties? NO WAY. You're there to do a job. Keep focused.

Now, if, after the party was over, someone came up to you? No harm there.
 
I'm engaged to my coworker and we DJ weddings together...does that count? :p

I don't see anything wrong with it, but save the dating for after the wedding (and I don't mean hooking up that night!). My parents met at a dance where my dad was the DJ. :) And I was the first product of that marriage. :sqeek:

How are you going to hook up with someone unless it is after the party?

It's not the same thing as taking some girl into the closet in the DJ booth at the club for 5 minutes!

Heck, I even hooked up with one of my cousins, at my brother's wedding (I wasn't DJ'ing though) :D


Although I must say, that there was much more when I was playing in bands. You'd be surprised what can happen in the back of a van, in 20 minutes between sets, with a few young ladies... ;) :)


Dating, not so sure about -- that involves more than an hour or so, and you have to buy them dinner and stuff, talk to them, etc. -- never had the patience for all that crap... Just a plain ol' slut in the ol' days :)
 
Hell, I had my client trying to hook me up with one of her friends! That is why it pays to have a facade! Just stick her under there and let her go to work while you are cutting it up! :sqlaugh:


When you do gigs in Miami, it is not easy trying to stay away from hot chicks! LOL
 
Never when DJing. But when I was in a band that was a whole different ball game there. :sqwink:

Came close to marrying one of the bridesmaids that the bride and my sister set me up with.....Close call, I sobered up and ran like heck....:sqlaugh:
 
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds it may incriminate me :sqeek:

I'll just say it's twice this week Steve and I had something in common :sqwink:
